I'm a big fan of Herbal Essences shampoos, they really work well for my hair, so when I saw these cheaper alternatives I thought I'd better give them a try- and I'm pleased to say that they measure up rather well.
Moisture Repair, and Goodbye Dry Ends Shampoo. |
The formula doesn't contain any silicones so they are great for my hair- which is very fine and gets greasy and flat very easily- and there doesn't seem to be much product build up with these shampoos, and although I usually rotate through shampoos a lot, I don't need to do that too much with these. I also find that I don't need much to coat my hair in lather- which means a bottle lasts quite a long time :)
However I don't think they are as moisturising as they could be (and as they advertise to be- with names like moisture repair, and goodbye dry ends you'd expect very moisturising formulas) after using them my hair definitely wasn't dry- but my hair did benefit from my loreal straightening spray to smooth out the ends, which were sometimes a bit on the fluffy side after using these shampoos. Having said that, I'd much rather have a less moisturising shampoo that manages to leave my fine hair feeling clean and light, even if I do have to add a little extra moisture afterwards.
Overall I think these are really great shampoos- they're not really anything particularly special; but they do the job of cleaning my hair very well, and not weighing it down with residue. Plus they have a very tiny price tag! I definitely think these are worth a try, there is quite a range of scents and formulas for different hair types to choose from and they have conditioners to match each one- at 99p I think you'd be silly not to at least try one out!

good review hun, and for the price you can't really complain! I love Aussie shampoo!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'm glad you liked it :) Definitely! They're worth a try. I don't think I've ever tried an Aussie shampoo but their conditioners are awesome!

I saw these in boots the other day after you mentioned them but I was restrained and waited for your review. Think I'll skip the shampoo but try out the conditioner :) I like Aussie shampoo as well but generally I use a Lush shampoo bar.
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so sorry it took so long! How are the shampoo bars? I've always been rather confused by them!
